another day at the office...

San Diego, CA:  When I was in high school, I had fantasies of what my future professional self would look like:  daily, I would show up to a high rise building in a power suit, hose & heels;  leather briefcase in one hand, coffee and folded newspaper in the other... think Working Girl, without all the big hair.  I'm not sure what I believed the fictional profession would actually be, but I knew I would definitely have the corner office, with the great view of the city skyline....

So my job didn't turn out quite the way I had envisioned it -- no power suit, no hose (thank goodness!) and no real office.  When I travel, my office takes the shape of a hotel room, a bus front lounge or the aisle seat of a plane.  This week, my "office" had the following view:



Just another perk to the life I never envisioned, but was destined, to lead.
