To The 9s!

Nashville, TN:  There's something going on this year with the music of my youth resurfacing.  First (and foremost), it was announced that New Kids On The Block were coming back after a 14 year break.  Next, I had a chance meeting with Davy Jones of The Monkees, who was there before NKOTB (if you can even believe there was life before then).  And now, not going too far into my past, but definitely back to the days of living at home, trying to a find a side door into the music industry, have now joined the reunion ranks.  The band that started doing covers of the funkiest songs ever recorded, the band that I befriended because I just knew there was something there, the band that gave us hope that in our little city there was talent and charisma and simply freaking good music... THEY. ARE. BACK.

Their first show in wayyyy too long is TONIGHT -- at The Waiting Room in Downtown Benson -- 6212 Maple Street.  If you are in the area, PLEASE go by and check them out.  For me.  For you.  For everybody.

If you are not in the area or can't make it, check out their stuff online:  www.the9smusic.com.

In the meantime, I'll be spending the rest of my day being thankful for music of the past resurfacing into the present... and with the power of the internet, I will be reuniting in spirit!
