In The River

Boise, ID:  I'm sitting in my hotel semi-suite, finishing a glass of wine before I pass out from a longish day of travel, listening to Joe, Marc's Brother (the song "Tonight" is on replay).  I've been spending time going through pictures from my international travels starting in 2006 and have noticed a theme of water throughout them.  I don't swim and I'm from a landlocked state, so I'm not sure where this is coming from, but my photos definitely show a draw towards the blue.  Perhaps it's my piscean nature....

Sydney, Australia
Venice, Italy

In any event, during my time on line, I also got my daily meditation from Richard Rohr and it just so happen to mention another form of water.  What a lovely way to tie the evening together.....

"Spirituality is about seeing. It's not about earning or achieving. It's about relationship rather than results or requirements.

Once you see, the rest follows.

You don't need to push the river, because you are in it. The life is lived within us, and we learn how to say yes to that life.

If we exist on a level where we can see how "everything belongs," we can trust the flow and trust the life, the life so large and deep and spacious that it even includes its opposite, death."
