Minot, ND:
- 4:50am: confused as to why my alarm clock is going off so freaking early, then remember the early morning flight I'm booked on.
- 5:47am: wait outside for a cab, tired, but appreciating the brisk fall morning.
- 6:35am: randomly run into plane guy, catch up on life and wistfully wonder how I can get back into meditation (spawned by his story of completing a 10 day silent retreat).
- 7:10am: airplane doors close as do my eyes, while the flight attendant goes over the safety features of the E75.
- 10:51am: after a walk, a ride and another ride, somehow end up at the second largest enclosed mall in the US. Bought a hippy-ish looking scarf that says "I don't wear patchouli, but I would date a guy that smokes clove cigarettes."
- 4:05pm: wake up from my 2nd nap upon wheels touching down from the 2nd flight to see my landscape for the next 2 days.
- 5:54pm: make sure I didn't forget anything... check in band & crew - check; discuss next day's ground trasnpo - check; compose advance emails to clubs for that other band - check...
- 5:56pm: thinking of the boy. send quick text to say so.
- 6:43pm: eat surprisingly delicious lobster ravioli at hotel restaurant with band chick. Discuss shopping plans during our next trip to NYC.
- 8:41pm: change into jammies, quick call to M&D to let them know I'm not dead.
- 9:12pm: a little more work, a few more emails, trying to fight off a headache and (hopefully) unnecessary stress about tomorrow.
- 9:44pm: re-center my thoughts to what's really important by viewing the trailer for Precious, which could have been written straight from the lips of a Magdalene woman.
- 10:23pm: damnit! got sucked back into work. I've GOT to get off of this computer.
- 10:31pm: the boy just texted! perfect timing. I'll settle into bed, have a quick goodnight and prepare for the adventures time has in store for me tomorrow.
