Bristol Beginnings

Bristol, England: I'm on a 2 week UK tour and am going to try my very best to write each day. Or at least in each city. It's going to be tough because... well, I'm working... but also because I'm trying to get ready for another little tour right when I come back and there's always just one more thing to do....

BUT

this is MY LIFE. Sure, I'm here because of work and I'm so grateful for that work, but I want to be able to stop and see my life happening AS it's happening. I may not get a lot of time in each city, but I am bound and determined to get out -- even if it's to wait outside the bus for the runner to bring the artists to the venue at 3pm each day (or 1500, as they say).

I figure I'll have my camera with me, so I'll try to at get a little photo blog thing happening. Considering it's now 1:46am and I'm riding in the bus to the next city, jacked up from the excitement / nervousness of the first show and still a bit exhausted from a left over jet lag, I'm not sure how I'm going to do each day, but here's to a good start....

Bright & crisp morning.... looking out my hotel room, shaking off a bit of jet lag.

care for a soft whippy? and don't forget to MIND THAT CHILD!

how many Dads do you know that take their daughters on walks wearing a top hat and carrying a cane?

caught a bit of neon moving art on the side of a building as I made my way to find some fine Indian food.
