Don't Worry, Dublin

Dublin, Ireland: The last show of the tour is not only in a new city, but a new country. We took a ferry from the UK to Ireland early in the morning to have the rest of the day off. The gig was less than a block from the hotel (a TM's dream) and I scurried to complete day sheets and exchange money (and find the nearest Starbucks) so my Dublin exploration could begin.

I got a call in my hotel room about 6pm from our promoter. "We have to move the show to a new venue," he explains with an accent I can only associate with leprechauns.

Um... we do?
Now?
The night before the gig?

"Yep."

Oy vey.

But after only a couple of hours of re-adjusting, re-vamping and re-doing, I make my way to a proper pub, have a Guinness and call it a day. It's a moment where I have to let go of the control I think I have and know it is what it is. Bottom line is don't worry, Dublin. We'll be there! Wherever that may be.
