Omaha, NE: Before I left town to spend a non-freezing-cold holiday in the Big O, a sweet friend of mine turned me onto a website called Dear Photograph. The idea:
take a picture of a picture from the past in the present.
Simple enough AND since I was headed to the place that photographs of my childhood were stored, I figured this was the perfect time to try out this new creative method.
After a trip to Mom & Dad's basement and Grandma & Grandpa's attic, I came back with some pretty fantastic results. I'm going to submit them to the website (and
Facebook page, naturally) and see if they get chosen to be displayed. If they don't, however, it's really not a big deal, since the best part of all of this is that I'm inspired again.

Dear Photograph:
I want my bike back.

Dear Photograph:
Both Mom & Aunt Betty thought that was me. It's actually Cousin Katie.
I guess we all look alike on Grandma's back porch.

Dear Photograph:
Date night never looked hipper.
Love, Carolyn
Dear Photograph:
So many memories were built here.

Dear Photograph:
I'm glad there's proof I actually mowed once.

Dear Photograph:
I miss family dinners.

Dear Photograph:
I'm still blowing kisses.
