Bangor, ME: There's a moment of silence before soundcheck begins. The set has been assembled, the chairs have been placed and the band is on the way from the hotel. But before the first drum has been kicked, the air is filled with sound -- sultry and seductive. If you stop to listen to the music, the words, the voice, you can feel your heart start to long. But you can't get too wrapped up in the feeling, because at some point, it will abruptly stop and you'll find yourself looking around to see if anyone has caught you in this moment.
