Day 1-and-a-2

.
London, England:  C and I made it safely to London and have been doing our best to stay awake and have a "normal"day, so we can have somewhat of a "normal" sleep tonight, before we prepare for our next flight tomorrow (to Poland!!!).

Unfortunately, a "normal" day after an overnight flight, with a 6am arrival time in a different time zone and virtually no sleep (couldn't help myself - they had computer power available beneath my seat!) is kind of impossible.  The last two days have blended into one, but we were fortunate enough to see some friends as we tried to trick our bodies into thinking we aren't really all THAT tired.

C in the Tube station, headed into London proper.  At one point, thinking we had gotten on the wrong train, we leapt off before the doors closed, which made a confused onlooker ask if we were members of the USA Olympic Tube Diving Team.  (This story is actually funnier if you've had no sleep.)

Meeting up with my friends, Mr. Darcy Dawson and his lovely lady, Antonia, for brunch in the park.

The Serpentine Bar & Kitchen in Hyde Park.   A gorgeous day by the water.  Unfortunately, it wasn't until we stood in the queue to order food, that we somehow missed breakfast (which ended at 11:30am) but couldn't order lunch just yet (until 12:00pm).  We opted for a plain & simple yoghurt.  Which turned out to the perfect meal at that time.

Around 2pm, I almost passed out in the middle of Harvey Nichols.   C & I went for the mid-day tea & sweet to get some sort of strength up to make it just a few more hours.

BOBBI!!!!!  C's super cute & super British friend meets us for a meal before she goes back to work and we go back to the hotel.  To pass out immediately.  (Or at last immediately right after I blog.)

One of my favorite songs... found in the inside of a taxi.  Just another reason why I love London.

It's 9:00pm here, which means it's 3:00pm there, which means I've got to get to bed... now, immediately.
