Girls Gone Mild

.
Nashville, TN: With a few days off in between bookend shows, I invited my favorite gal (who also happened to give me life) to visit me at my home and share in the day-to-day normalcies of my life. It was no London, but I'm pretty sure both of us had a sweet and special time together.

Here's a little photographic review of the week:

Throughout the week, it seemed our main priorities were (in no particular order): food, wine and laughter. We combined all three together for the most part and enjoyed the highlights of East Nashville at The Pharmacy, Silly Goose, Bongo Java EastJeni's Ice Cream, Rumors East and Marche. And away from the hood -- Fido -- because how can I not take someone there?

We saw some of my favorite people, including the other C (big in piano bars and Poland) and Goddaughter #2 & my surrogate family

Most importantly, I was finally able to introduce her to the incredible community of Thistle Farms. I was overwhelmed with emotion of how important this was for me. The good news is that tears are allowed (and encouraged!) at TF, so I knew I was in a safe place as I snotted on myself.

We had a very busy itinerary to stick to and tried to stay as active as possible. We walked around Radnor Lake, had massages and napped. It is very tiring to be us!

There were also a couple of surprises, including a ride on the Nash Trash Pink Bus Tour (oh yes we did....),

and an evening at the Symphony with Sarah M.

At the end of each evening, we retreated to my back patio and relied on chilled wine to combat the humidity. From the memorable stories of the past to the hopeful thoughts for the future, I am so grateful I had this time to really connect, in person, with the one who loves me for simply the person I am. And who gives her love so freely and unconditionally.
