Rama, ONT Canada: While on the road, some things break that wouldn't necessarily be a big deal if you
a) had a way to run out & go get a new one
b) had a clue of where to run out & go get a new one
c) had any time to find a place that you could run out & go get one, then find a way to actually get to that place
For instance, today, my belt was on its last leg:
My belt is very important to me since it not only keeps up my pants, but it also holds the radio I attach to my pants for the shows. (For "radio," think walkie talkie, not boombox.) So when I noticed it was about to snap into two and I had no idea where to go, no way to get there if I actually found the place or no time to research any of these questions I had, I did the next logical thing I could think of.
I gaffed it.
Since we always carry rolls & rolls of gaff tape on the road, I knew we'd have some in our production box and since it is strong enough to hold together almost anything on a show, I knew it would hold my poor belt together until I could get back home... and to Target.

Have (gaff) tape, will travel.
