Norfolk, VA: No matter how much you can prepare for a gig, when something seemingly little slips through the cracks, it can cause a potential pre-show meltdown.
In tonight's case, symphony conductor
Ben Rous, was looking mighty dapper in his freshly cleaned show tux, when he realized his cuff links were missing mere minutes before showtime. Considering those cuffs are more than a simple fashion statement, but rather necessary for him to do his job (ie. keeping those sleeves back as he whips his arms around to lead a 30+ piece orchestra), he had to come up with a quick backup plan... and fast.
The result?
#49: Makeshift cuff links.
In layman's terms: two hidden different colored binder clips holding the sleeves together.
And with that, the show begins,
the sleeves stay together,
and the clips stay hidden.
In layman's terms: succes.
